Neighbor 2 Neighbor
The emphasis is on how our Pastoral Care Ministry can bring us closer together within God's family and with those in the community around us. Each week we will pursue the theme of “When We Love Our Neighbors...”

REVOLUTION - The Real Christmas Story
The political leaders of the first century acted like they were gods. They obtained their power through manipulation and brute violence. But, in a tiny corner of the Roman Empire, a baby was born who launched a bold revolution. This revolution was powered by love, not force. Its leader was a servant and the values of its followers are upside down from the norm.

PAUSE - A Sermon Series from Proverbs
How many times could we have avoided mistakes or seized opportunities if we would have stopped to pray, study, seek advice and think? How would our lives be different if we filled our minds with wisdom, and before every decision, made ourselves pause?
There has never been a collection of writings with more practical wisdom than the book of Proverbs. Apparently, God's wisdom is just as true today as it was thousands of years ago. We'll be applying God's timeless truths to our everyday lives during this important series.

storyline …
John Eldredge says that life, for most of us, feels like a movie – a movie that we've arrived at forty minutes late.
In our lives, good things happen, sometimes beautiful things. But tragic things happen too. What does it mean? We find ourselves in the middle of a story that is sometimes wonderful, sometimes awful, usually a confusing mixture of both, and we haven't a clue as to how to make sense of it all. No wonder we keep losing heart.
We need to know the rest of the story; the before and after. Wouldn't life make more sense if we knew the whole storyline?

Tough Questions
We are asking some questions that people both in and out of the church are asking. Wise people ask questions, and wise people search for truth. We certainly don't have everything all figured out, but we have been studying the Bible to seek guidance in how to answer a few important questions - questions that all of us need to think about. We are praying that this series will help you know God more, and prepare you to discuss these questions with others.

Who Cares?
According to Jesus, one of the distinctive qualities of His followers is their love for one another. The caring for one another and sharing with one another made the Church in the first century stand out among their community. And it still does today.
If we desire to follow Jesus, we will continue to grow in caring for others. Let's commit to growing in this area together.

Building Better Relationships
with God, with family, with friends
A preacher once said that he suspected that if God decided to write one thing in the sky for all of us to read, seeing all of the different things that we focus on, it would be this, “It's about relationships.” It's hard to argue with this since the two greatest commands are both about relationships (love God and love your neighbor…). Yet we often struggle with both of these relationships.
During this study we focused on Building Better Relationships by studying what the Bible says about them. Each week we discussed a principle that applies to our relationship with God, as well as our relationships with family and friends.

John 1:9 - The true Light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
The thought of an all-powerful Creator taking on the nature of a lowly man is mind-blowing. Why would God do such a thing? And how did it change the course of human history? Highland Park Christian Church is studying Jesus, God who became man, as we delve into the book of John. And as we engage our heads and hearts into this concept, we will be challenged to make sure our hands follow suit with acts of service and love.
